2013 : 10 Goals

Last year I attended LEAD Conference, AIESEC Malaysia.
They managed to invite Mr.Jeevan, Owner of ActionCOACH Franchises, Malaysia.
(He owns a sexy red Porsche Cayeene and properties - he began with that to introduce himself and I thought, do you need to brag about it? But what he says is true. If not so, why is he giving talk in front of us, as a successful person?)

He introduced a way to set 2013 10 Goals, in 10 minutes. (Of course, goals should be SMART)
Based on 8 categories:
  1. Business/Career
  2. Finance
  3. Physical
  4. Mental
  5. Family
  6. Relationships
  7. Spiritual
  8. Lifestyle

I've got mine, in less than 5 minutes, seeing how efficient the categories guided me:
  1. Utilize Gap Year to plan out career path. (June - Dec '13)
  2. Save RM250/month while studying; save RM400/month while working.
  3. Practice Yoga once a week for minimum 30 minutes.
  4. Read motivational book (or equivalent beneficial readings) before bed (or anytime of the day) for 10 minutes/day.
  5. Spend quality time with family. (at least once a week)
  6. Sleep latest at 1am, get up latest at 9am.
  7. Vacation with family at least once.
  8. Improve on facilitating/coaching/leadership skills (you gotta look for the opportunites!)
  9. Finish a religion book 《佛教徒的信仰是什么》.
  10. Learn to love my friends and family more everyday <3 font="font">
Well, I always do a review and reflection of previous year based on my New Year Resolution of the year.
This is to remind myself of what I've done for the year, whether they are based on the resolutions or simply I set resolutions for the sake of having them.
2012:
  • Learn to appreciate [This has become my Core Value.]
  • Continue to be patient; complain and grumble less [I think AIESEC has helped me in improving my patience but at the same time there are still a lot of dissatisfactions that I would love to express at some times.]
  • Do not put my own high expectations on others (try to put myself on someone else's shoes) [I am still trying to do so and this has helped me in improving my patience as well.]
  • SPEND WISELY! [Needs to be improved.]
  • Taobao when necessary only [No more Taobao once I've returned to Malaysia. Missed it though.]
  • Pay attention in lectures and revise more frequently to reduce the degree of suffering during completions of assignments and examinations [Well at least I listened in lectures but not revising at all until finals approached, like now.]
  • Utilise my time in China as an exchange student, international student [I think I've experienced different kind of study experience throughout the year in China.]
  • Spend my free time wisely [Rarely free time, and I usually choose to stone through my day if I procrastinate.]
  • Keep myself more fashionable instead of being lazy to dress up [Done it reasonably well I guess. Hehe.]
Reflection of the year: There are still a lot of room for improvement, but I have set my goals this year to be more specific and make them attainable. Alongway, the values that I would like to adopt will hopefully be developed.

Fighting, Weishan :)
