My Valentine's Day

Who says Valentine's Day must celebrate with your couple??

I myself 'celebrated' it with my friends and family (well, not really celebrating, like normal shopping outing and dinner) ^^

After work, we went to Gilly Cafe at Taman Segar to have our lunch and chat.
Seriously hate the surroundings.
Too damn quiet. Only 4 of us making noise there. Others? Lol. Couples ma. You know what la.

While waiting for food, I had nothing else better to do, so I took stupid photos of my friends XD

Window-shopping at Popular (bought 2 cheapalak novels), Speedy, Sasa, AEIOU (bought something), Nokia Phone Store, Gift Shop, Comic Shop, Viss, Red dunno what (selling shoes), MiniToons (bought something of course ^^ die hard fans)... dunno whether I miss any.


At night, went to my aunt's house to so call celebrate my bro's birthday (his birthday is on 15/2).

Pizza Hut Valentine's Day Deal. Buy 1 free 1.

I highly recommend the BUY-1-Pizza (means not the free 1) which is the something to do with Tuna (forgot what again).

Birthday cake made by my aunt (and she won money in the end of Mahjong Game).

Hahaha.


In the end, I felt tired and slept early.

Valentine's Day can be tiring to the singles too.
So, to those who don't have couple, so what? Be cheerful and smile always.

Usually, I talk GRANDMOTHER's story.
But today, I'm gonna talk GRANDFATHER's story =D

What's Valentine's Day?

Basically I dunno what the hell they're talking about as I'm also quite lazy to go through everything.
I remember Valentine's Day story is about a guy called Valentine.....love.
That's all I remember (BooHoo) ya la ya la~ Read papers la. Sure explain 1.

In the West, the traditional symbols of Valentine's Day are

In Japan, and I think most of the Asian countries, the traditional gifts and celebration are

In South Korea, the girls give the boys chocolates on Feb 14 and the boys give non-chocolate candies to girls on Mar 14. They actually MOURN their single lives on Apr 14 by eating Black Noodles at Chinese restaurants.

In Chinese culture, we have two special days that represent LOVE.
1st is Chap Goh Mei a.k.a 元宵节 which is the 15th of 1st month of Lunar Calender.
Usually those singles will go the lake side/river side/seaside/longkang side (joking) to throw Mandarin Oranges with red papers to seek for YUAN (缘).
(I think this is my version of story =.=")

2nd is The Night of Sevens a.k.a 七夕 which is the 7th of the 7th month of Lunar Calender.
If you still remember the story "The Cowherd and The Weaver Maid" a.k.a "牛郎与织女", this is the day where they are supposed to meet, on their very own bridge.
