Malaysia's Public Transports?
Wanna know more about them?
Bus:
I take the public bus almost every weekdays.
Basically, i take buses provided by 3 companies (I can only find these 3 companies' buses in my area though).
1. SJ Bus: Meet with mad drivers most of the time. Likes to delay a lot by stopping at main stations - Pudu Jail, Taman Maluri. Well, i've known that as i take SJ almost everytime if i need to travel by bus. Why? I usually take bus at Times Square bus stop to go home after college. So, since i'm only taking a single journey back, instead of spending RM2 on RapidKL whole day pass, i spend RM1.50 on SJ. That's the only reason I take SJ. If you are lucky enough, you may get to hear those malay rock songs that sound like shouting songs LOUD enough.
2. Metro Bus: Rarely see the Metro bus to my area nowadays. Almost equal to SJ EXCEPT they charge RM1.60 from Times Square to Leisure Mall. Oh ya, their seats are actually more comfortable than SJ's although they're equally old.
3. RapidKL Bus: Actually, if I need to travel more than once a day by bus, for sure i'll choose RapidKL. Why? Simply because it's FAST. Well, although some still drive like they own the road, at least they don't delay. Tickets are reusable. They appear more frequently than SJ and Metro (though always, when i wanna take Rapid, SJ/Metro will appear first). However, i kind of hate the design of the bus. Stairs to upper part high, bottom part too low. BUT, Rapid buses are AUTO. Cool to me.
Monorail:
Fast, small, expensive. Fast as in in average, you only need to wait for 5mins for it to arrive. Fast also refers to, if and only if, you meet with mad drivers that keep accelerating until the whole monorail shakes throughout the journey. Small in size makes the monorail crowded with people almost all the time and the seats available are really limited. Expensive as in the min ticket costs RM1.20 which is only for 1 station. More than 1 station? Rm1.60 and above please.
Star LRT:
Well, actually, i seldom take Star. But, thanks to my great exam timetable, i took Star twice last week. Why? From Maluri to Pudu Jail by bus, it's really not a secure journey. Road jam may waste my precious time. So, i decided to waste another RM1.20 to take Star from Maluri to Hang Tuah and change to Monorail. Not important. What i think about Star is the interval is kind of long (maybe just during non-peak hours). And, it's very noisy inside. Not the people, the train makes a lot of unnecessary noise pollution. Besides that, i REALLY hate them announcing the 'Next Station' thing. 1st, the voice sucks. 2nd, blure and i feel that the drivers are forced to announce them (obviously they are). Overall, fast and kind of reliable when you wanna avoid road jam.
Actually, if i have a choice, i would still choose MUA DAD's car. Comfortable, with music, with cushion, big space, and most importantly, CAN SLEEP~!! Crapping again.
Ok la. 2nd choice will be trains. I like PutraLRT the most. Simply fast and reliable.
So, which 1 will you choose if you need to take public transport next time?
